Which drugs or supplements interact with Baclosan?

Use of Baclosan with other drugs that also depress the function of nerves may lead to additional reduction in brain function.

In addition to the risk of depressing brain function, the use of Baclosan and tricyclic antidepressants (for example, amitriptyline , doxepin ) together may cause muscle weakness.

Use of Baclosan and monoamine oxidase inhibitors (for example, phenelzine , tranylcypromine or ) can result in greater depression of brain function as well as low blood pressure.

Because Baclosan can increase blood sugar, doses of antidiabetic drugs may need to be adjusted when Baclosan is begun.

Rated Baclosan for Spinal cord injury Report

My physician switched from Methocarbamol to Baclosan. It was a surprisingly smooth transition. I never recommend something for everyone. What works for myself may not work for you. My experience was 6 very large pills to 3 much smaller doses per day. Much easier on my stomach. My only complaint is about cutting the current pills. Oval ones I have been given cut easier for me than round ones which tend to break making it difficult to put in my daily pill box. Only complaint.

Please don’t take this drug, it’s poison to your brain. I was on it for almost a year and experienced tolerance withdrawal from it and had to do a rapid taper which has in turned ruined my life. Please review withdrawl symptoms before stopping this drug.

Rated Baclosan for Spinal cord injury Report

Just completely horrible. That's how I'd characterize this drug. The side effects were a nightmare even at low doses. Nausea, even vomiting at times, head and neck aches, severe weakness and anxiety were common while taking this. Interestingly though I've heard it has some very strong beneficial effect for those quitting benzos, alcohol or gabapentin and frankly that's all it should be used for. Just too many, often paradoxical, side effects for general use. Also, kinda pricey if you lack insurance Soma is vastly superior. If it ain't broke, don't fix it

Rated Baclosan for Spasticity Report

Baclosan tabs X4 intolerable. Elected ITB starting 18mcg/day. 62 months later finally realizing my dose limit 1252mcg/day plus optional 150mcg X2 when needed. Spasms are very resistant to meds especially true with break-through spasms. Pump works flawlessly. Finding the ideal dose will take time. It is a good system, albeit expensive, effective therapy.
