Rated Niften for Hypertension Report

I started Niften about 3 yrs ago for hypertension and irregular heartbeat. Until just recently it worked perfectly. Really lowered my BP to healthy level. But my pulse went way down to 60 and I’d have cold extremities. Now, within the last couple of months, very achy and weak knees, a little thigh muscle pain. Also starting to feel right side back pain. Recent physical all fine except beginning decreased kidney function. So I’m not waiting. Throwing caution to the wind I’m getting off this drug before severe damages set in.

Warnings for other groups

For pregnant women: Niften is a category D pregnancy drug. That means two things:

  1. Studies show a risk of adverse effects to the fetus when the mother takes the drug.
  2. The benefits of taking Niften during pregnancy may outweigh the potential risks in certain cases.

Niften use in the second trimester of pregnancy has been associated with birth of babies who are smaller than normal. Also, newborns of mothers who took Niften at the time of birth may be at risk of hypoglycemia (lower than normal blood sugar levels) and bradycardia (slower than normal heartbeat).

If you take Niften and are considering having a baby, or if you are pregnant, talk to your doctor right away. Niften is not the only medication that treats high blood pressure. Other drugs have fewer adverse effects during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Your doctor will be able to tell you if a different drug or a dose adjustment is an option for you.

If you become pregnant while taking this drug, call your doctor right away.

For women who are breastfeeding: Niften is absorbed into breast milk and could be passed to a child who is breastfed. Newborns who breastfeed from mothers who take Niften are also at risk of hypoglycemia and bradycardia.

7. Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Niften is not usually recommended in pregnancy.

If you're trying to get pregnant or already pregnant, talk to your doctor about the benefits and possible harms of taking Niften.

There may be other medicines that are safer for you. Labetalol is a similar medicine that's often recommended for high blood pressure in pregnancy.

Rated Niften for Anxiety Report

I started taking this drug nearly 5 years ago for anxiety and man did it help. I was like a new person such a relief. But slowly did it cause depression. To the point where I am calling the suicide help line. When this all started I saw this exact post from a man who said DO NOT DO THIS IT WILL MAKE YOU WANT TO KILL YOURSELF and I didnt listen. I told my doctor who said nope. HE TOLD ME NOPE NO DEPRESSION. What a peice of crap. Iv been off for a week and feel instantly better. It takes away all your natural adrenaline witch makes you release endorphins the feel good chemical in your brain. I'll take anxiety of this anyday. Sad thing is I reached out to alot of people for help. And no one did. Iam a 32 year old female.
