What Is Venetlin (Proventil)?
Venetlin is the generic form of the brand-name drugs Proventil, ProAir, and Ventolin, which are used to treat lung diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Venetlin can quickly relieve shortness of breath, coughing, wheezing, and chest tightness. It's in a class of drugs known as bronchodilators, which work by relaxing and opening air passages to the lungs.
This medicine is sometimes used to treat or improve muscle paralysis in people with a condition that causes paralysis attacks (such as hyperkalemic periodic paralysis).
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Venetlin in 1982.
How should this medicine be used?
Venetlin comes as a solution (liquid) to inhale by mouth using a special jet nebulizer (machine that turns medication into a mist that can be inhaled) and as an aerosol or powder to inhale by mouth using an inhaler. When the inhalation aerosol or powder for oral inhalation is used to treat or prevent symptoms of lung disease, it is usually used every 4 to 6 hours as needed. When the inhalation aerosol or powder for oral inhalation is used to prevent breathing difficulty during exercise, it is usually used 15 to 30 minutes before exercise. The nebulizer solution is usually used three or four times a day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Use Venetlin exactly as directed. Do not use more or less of it or use it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
Call your doctor if your symptoms worsen or if you feel that Venetlin inhalation no longer controls your symptoms. If you were told to use Venetlin as needed to treat your symptoms and you find that you need to use the medication more often than usual, call your doctor.
Venetlin controls symptoms of asthma and other lung diseases but does not cure them. Do not stop using Venetlin without talking to your doctor.
Each Venetlin aerosol inhaler is designed to provide 60 or 200 inhalations, depending on its size. Each Venetlin powder inhaler is designed to provide 200 inhalations. After the labeled number of inhalations has been used, later inhalations may not contain the correct amount of medication. Dispose of the aerosol inhaler after you have used the labeled number of inhalations, even if it still contains some liquid and continues to release a spray when it is pressed. Dispose of the powder inhaler 13 months after you open the foil wrapper, after the expiration date on the package, or after you have used the labeled number of inhalation, whichever comes first.
Your inhaler may come with an attached counter that keeps track of the number of inhalations you have used. The counter also tells you when to call your doctor or pharmacist to refill your prescription and when there are no inhalations left in the inhaler. Read the manufacturer's instructions to learn how to use the counter. If you have this type of inhaler, you should not try to change the numbers or remove the counter from the inhaler.
If your inhaler does not come with an attached counter, you will need to keep track of the number of inhalations you have used. You can divide the number of inhalations in your inhaler by the number of inhalations you use each day to find out how many days your inhaler will last. Do not float the canister in water to see if it still contains medication.
The inhaler that comes with Venetlin aerosol is designed for use only with a canister of Venetlin. Never use it to inhale any other medication, and do not use any other inhaler to inhale Venetlin.
Be careful not to get Venetlin inhalation into your eyes.
Do not use your Venetlin inhaler when you are near a flame or source of heat. The inhaler may explode if it is exposed to very high temperatures.
Before you use Venetlin inhaler or jet nebulizer for the first time, read the written instructions that come with the inhaler or nebulizer. Ask your doctor, pharmacist, or respiratory therapist to show you how to use it. Practice using the inhaler or nebulizer while he or she watches.
If your child will be using the inhaler, be sure that he or she knows how to use it. Watch your child each time he or she uses the inhaler to be sure that he or she is using it correctly.

Venetlin may make you dizzy. You should not drive or perform any activity that requires alertness until you know how this drug affects you.
Availability of Venetlin:
Venetlin is widely available all across the globe. The compound is rarely counterfeited and should be very affordable. This is not a controlled substance but in the U.S. a legal purchase will require a prescription. Outside the U.S., depending on the country in question, it can often be found over the counter. Black market Venetlin sales are also available; however, not as common as Clenbuterol. Many black market steroid suppliers carry Clenbuterol, and while some will have Venetlin it’s not as common. You will also find many online pharmacies, non-steroidal pharmacies that offer the compound, but this does not necessarily make such a purchase legal. It is very important you understand the law as it pertains to where you live before you buy Venetlin or many any related purchase.
You will also be able to find Venetlin in an oral liquid form from research chemical labs (RCL’s). RCL’s have exploded in popularity in recent years offering a host of thermogenics, anti-estrogens, sexual aids and various peptide hormones that are not controlled substances. Such products are sold for research only, and by law if that is the purpose of the purchase it is legal without a prescription. A loophole in the law to say the least, and one many take advantage of. However, while some RCL’s carry Venetlin, it’s nowhere near as common as research Clenbuterol.
If you’re looking for Venetlin, pharmacy grade versions should not be hard to find. Even top of the line brands should be widely available and very affordable. There are several generic brands on the market, as well as a host of well-known brands circulating the globe. The most common and well-known Venetlin brands include:

This medicine comes as a liquid to inhale with a nebulizer (a machine that turns medication into a mist) or as an aerosol inhaler.
You should follow your doctor's instructions carefully when using this medicine.
The inhaler is typically used every four to six hours as needed to treat or prevent symptoms of lung disease. The nebulizer solution is typically used three to four times a day as needed.
The inhaler form of Venetlin comes in canisters. Each canister provides 200 inhalations. You should throw away the canister after you've used the labeled number of inhalations, even if you think it still contains some medication.
Your inhaler may provide an attached counter that keeps track of the number of sprays you've used. You shouldn't try to change the numbers or remove the counter from the canister. When the number "020" appears on the counter, you should contact your doctor or pharmacist for a refill. When the number "000" appears, you shouldn't use the inhaler any longer.
If your inhaler doesn't contain a counter, you'll have to keep track of the number of inhalations you use. You can divide the number of inhalations in your inhaler by the number of inhalations you use each day to determine how many days your inhaler will last.
When using the inhaler for the first time, you should prime it by spraying four test sprays into the air, away from your face. Also, prime the inhaler if you haven't used it for two weeks or longer, or if you drop it.
Never use your inhaler to inhale any other type of medication. Your inhaler is designed for an Venetlin canister only.
You should clean your inhaler or nebulizer on a regular basis. If you don't care for your inhaler properly, it can become blocked.
