Special Considerations

No advantage over Ezede (parent compound), which is available OTC

Intranasal corticosteroids are preferred therapy unless allergy symptoms are mild and infrequent

Reserve for patients unable to tolerate sedating antihistamines like chlorpheniramine

If you experience any other symptoms which you think may be due to Ezede, speak with your doctor or pharmacist for further advice.


The most common adverse events with Ezede are:

Nervousness and difficulty sleeping have also been reported.

Immediate action required: Call 999 or go to A&E if:

  • you get a skin rash that may include itchy, red, swollen, blistered or peeling skin
  • you're wheezing
  • you get tightness in the chest or throat
  • you have trouble breathing or talking
  • your mouth, face, lips, tongue or throat start swelling

You could be having a serious allergic reaction and may need immediate treatment in hospital.
